Virtually Linked scores another major coup for London in Second Life...

From Saturday 19 September to Friday 25th September, Virtual London Fashion Week 09 (VLFW09) was held in virtual London’s Kensington, managed and hosted by Virtually Linked.

After hosting one of the most successful and reputed fashion events in Second Life now acclaimed by designers and participants alike, some are saying they will be only doing this show from now on, because of the value, service, commitment and turnout provided.

Now in VLFW’s 3rd year, while other fashion shows feature virtual artists and designers, Virtual London has once again pushed out the barrier.

This year we brought the real world of couture into the virtual world of Second Life. Virtual London Fashion Show Finale on Friday shows avatars wearing garments that were created as 3D graphics illustrations from designs by top designer Maria Grachvogel.

Top international designer, Maria Grachvogel, who dresses A-list celebrities such as Angeline Jolie, Victoria Beckham and Hayley Atwell, star of Brideshead Revisited, has committed to have her collection be illustrated virtually in 3D and go down the London runway of virtual Kensington on avatars. As a designer always leading the field, once again she has come out in front.

On Wednesday 30th September, VLFW09 finished the month off with a ‘Best Of Show’, which not only includes footage of some of the highlights of the show, but also includes more top designers’ collections.

This exclusive event was held in conjunction with AVENUE magazine and featured  UNIQUE models.
